Sadly, we have to report the death of hymnwriter Fred Kaan on 4th October 2009.  A service to celebrate his life was held in Penrith URC church in Lowther Street on 12th October 2009.

Penrith is a lively market town on the north edge of the Lake District and you will find information here about us, about the services we hold, about the activities which go on in our buildings and through the efforts of our members.
 
We invite you to explore these pages and of course to join us if you live near Penrith or perhaps plan to have a holiday in the Lake District or the Eden Valley, or are passing through the town en route for Scotland or England.
 

 



Penruddock is a village five miles west of Penrith and the chapel there has been joined to the church in the town since 1981 hence “Penrith & Penruddock”.
